Pinata Digital's profile

Illustrated packaging for incense sticks and dhoopcones

Pushpakunj is a brand that sells agarbattis and dhoops made from recycled temple flowers as a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative. They creatively repurpose floral waste from the Shri Mahakaleshwar temple, Shri Kharajana Ganesh Temple, and other temples, turning them into fragrant and biodegradable products.

Most of the Indians start their day by seeking blessings from the divine performing daily rituals. Agarbattis and Dhoops play a big role in these rituals/traditions, whether practiced at home or during visits to nearby temples.

Our illustrations are inspired by the daily observations from the lanes around these temples, vendors selling sweets, pooja essentials, aarti plates, and beautiful flowers. The flower shops, in particular, catch the eye with vendors crafting colourful garlands creatively, with the flowers kept in huge baskets in bulks, a pure delight to the eyes! They show the pure magic of devotion that people engage in throughout their lives, a connection where their hearts are fully dedicated to serving worshippers with the esssentials.
For  the packaging design of Agarbattis, we showcased a busy lady vendor crafting garlands. They offer Agarbattis in two fragrances- Rose and Marigold, and the other exclusively in Rose. Accordingly, we depicted the corresponding flowers in their respective fragrance designs.
In the case of Dhoops, our illustration captures the beauty of a temple interior, featuring a lady collecting flowers. Here too, each design reflects the specific fragrances - Lotus and Rose-Marigold, with illustrations of flowers corresponding to the unique scent of the Dhoops.
